While on one level I agree that children should not have to be paid to be at school. But I think the government has missed the point. EMAs were started so that students from less well off families could continue their education post 16. It is these students who will now have to possibly find part-time jobs, which will leave them less time to study. <br />Are the present government trying to bring the UK back to the situation where only the wealthy can afford to educate their children beyond year 11?
